MESSAGE SERIES
 
Series Title: “When You Believe Everything Changes.” Stumbling through the darkness of life, we often struggle to find a light switch to guide our path. Once the light switch is flipped everything is revealed! In a similar way, when a person believes in Jesus the truth is revealed and everything changes. Identity, relationships, purpose, values, life outlook: there isn't anything unaffected, everything is transformed. Over the next few months we are going to be going through the book of Ephesians to discover the depth of this amazing truth. Don't miss any part of this exciting new series at New Life, and make sure you invite a friend.
 
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
 
Parents, we invite you to drop off your children at one of our children’s ministries. Check-in times are 15 minutes before the service starts. Please don’t forget to pick up your children promptly after the celebrations.

WHAT’S HAPPENING @ NEW LIFE

ATTENTION ALL USHERS AND GREETERS– If you are currently serving in the Welcome Ministry as a usher or greeter (including parking lot attendant), please come to a meeting on Sunday, October 24th, (Multipurpose Room), immediately following our 11AM service (12:45PM) at Jeff Park. This meeting will help prepare the team for the upcoming merger at Portage Park. New manuals, instructions and schedules will be distributed at this meeting.  If you have questions, call Karen Nazar, the head usher for more information at 773-314 3190.
 
SAFE FAMILIES                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
We would like to welcome Dave Anderson, Director of Safe Families, a Christian organization that helps families in need. He will be giving a brief introduction of the various ways that you can participate.
BAPTISM SUNDAY– If you are planning on taking a step of baptism, please sign up at the Resource Center. There will be a brief baptism orientation near the Resource Center on Sunday, October 24th. Our next baptism will be held on Sunday, October 31st. Invite your family and friends to join us as we celebrate along with those who be taking this important step in their spiritual journey. 
 
ACQUIRE THE FIRE– Attention all youth! Our Soul Purpose Youth Ministry invites you to join them at the Aquire the Fire youth conference (see flier) that will take place this year at Life Changer’s Church in Hoffman Estates on Friday, October 29th 7PM – 10PM & Saturday, October 30th at 8AM - 9:30PM. Cost is $55.00 (includes transportation, t-shirt, entrance fee, lunch and dinner for Saturday). For a flier, information & Registration stop by the Resource Center. Deadline for registration and full payment is TODAY.
 
PREVIEW SERVICE @ NEW LIFE PORTAGE PARK                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     We are excited about our future merger with New Life Portage Park. In order to prepare for this, we are planning to have our preview service. on Sunday, November 7th at our Portage Park location (5701 W. Cullom) at 9:30am and 11:30am. Therefore, THERE WILL BE NO SERVICE AT JEFF PARK ON SUNDAY, NOV. 7TH.  Our last service at Jefferson Park will be on Sunday, October 31st.
 
OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE AND MOVE                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
Transition is never easy but we know that change is a good thing, especially when it results in growth! We realize that as a body, we will face many transitional changes and challenges as we move to a new building but we know that this is a God sized opportunity, so we pray that you will help us during this transition. Sunday, November 14th is our official merger launch date over at New Life Portage Park.
DAY LIGHT SAVINGS REMINDER – We want to give you a friendly reminder that on Saturday, November 6th at midnight, Daylight Savings Time ends so you will need to set your clock back 1 hour. We want to ensure that you will be on time for our Sunday Preview Service at Portage Park on Sunday, November 7th. Remember, 9:30AM & 11:30AM are our new, proposed service times.
